Tuition Increase

Here's to my return following a much-needed three-day weekend.

After a quick Sports portrait (not posted yet), I shot some wild art at the Prairie Grove Battlefield Park.

And following that I went over to campus to get a few stock photos of students for a 1A story today about a tuition increase for the University of Arkansas.

Naturals Opening Day

First from Wednesday was a piece of wild art of repairing a fire hydrant at Wilson Park in Fayetteville.

Later that night, I had to go to the Jones Center in Springdale to cover a forum on immigration reform.

Finally I'm posting some remaining stuff from the Naturals media day. There's a couple stock pieces of practice art. And then the portraits I shot of pitcher Aaron Crow. We ran the first one posted today for our Opening Day preview story.

A Laurel and Hardy Johnson

I started the day a little later than normal to accomodate hanging out at Arvest Ballpark for the NWA Naturals' media day.

First posted is just a little bit of wild art where I found these guys installing a 600-pound aluminum sign for the new Springdale office for Ozarks Electric.

Then the rest of my day was spent with the Naturals. Following their press conference, I had to shoot a couple portraits and some general practice art. Let's face it: I need the practice. I'm posting the one portrait that ran today (pitchers Rowdy Hardy and Blake Johnson) and then the others I'll post on their day of publication with should be Opening Day for the team.

Wild Art in Bentonville

I spent Thursday hunting wild art in Bentonville. And these are what I came back with. Unfortunately, the first frame didn't make it to print, so it gets its life here.

Football's here!

Tuesday started out with a rush to Winslow following a call on the scanner detailing a man's fall from a bluff at a waterfall. Fortunately, he was able to respond to the emergency workers' questions so hopefully he'll be OK.

Following another step in my multiple-day project, I shot the first day of spring football practice. More photos from the practice can be viewed at the Focus gallery on ArkansasOnline.
