Nats Defy the Forecast

It's a little late so I'm just gonna post some photos from the day. They mostly speak for themselves.

UGA Dawgs are champs

After doing a little busy work in the morning, the rest of my day was centered around UA campus.

First was the SEC women's tennis tournament championship between Georgia and Tennessee where the Dawgs came away victorious over the Vols for their third-straight title.

Following that I went to the music building on campus to make some wild art of the department's guitar recital program.

And last I found some students studying in the Mullins Library for some additional wild art.

SEC Tennis Tourney

Went to get some stand-alone art first as the folks at Lake Fayetteville held their first annual Outdoor Festival.

Following that, I went to shoot semifinal action at the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament. While it's supposed to be held on the outdoor courts, apparently there's just a little too much wind for these girls. And so I get to shoot in the wonderful light in the indoor facility next door.

Nats and Kids

Today was School Kids Day at the Northwest Arkansas Naturals game.

About 7,000 kids filled the seats and outfield lawn as the Nats hosted the Corpus Christi Hooks. And I was there to document it.

Back with the Nats

Mother Nature graced Northwest Arkansas with some beautiful weather today and people took advantage of it.

I started off the day on campus where these young ladies were putting on an outdoor fitness expo featuring first a demonstration/class in Turbo Kick -- kick-boxing with some hip-hop dance infusion.

Following that, I stayed on campus where a couple Arkansas Supreme Court Justices were speaking as part of Judges Day.

And finally my day finished with my first Naturals game of the second season. The Nats ended up being crushed 12-6 by the visiting Corpus Christi Hooks.

RazorFest & Red-White scrimmage

Today was all football all the time.

I covered the annual RazorFest and Red-White scrimmage at Razorback Stadium. Here's a little sampling of the day.

Opening Day

I started the day at the Jones Family Resource Center where U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln was speaking in a town hall style meeting on health care issues.

Following that, I spent even more time at Arvest Ballpark where last-minute preps were being made for the NWA Naturals' home opener tomorrow which they'll host San Antonio.

Easter hangover

I'm gonna blame my negligence in posting yesterday to Easter candy hangover. But in actuality it's more me devoting attention to taking care of a sick girlfriend.

So here's a quick sampling of frames from yesterday (Monday) and today.

Family Dollar

I went first this morning to a Family Dollar's grand opening of a new location in Springdale. I don't know which frame will run that I moved but I really liked this one so I thought I'd give it life if print doesn't.

The second frame is just a little wild art find from the Jones Center in Springdale.
