Giving a photo its life

While at a Springdale school this morning for another story, I saw this photo of a kid not really wanting to leave dad for his first day of kindergarten and the principal trying to convince him otherwise.

So considering this frame will probably never see newsprint (as it doesn't really have anything to do with the story), I figured I'd give it life here on my blog.

I remember my first day of Kindergarten. My mother bought me this white and red dress. I had my shiny red shoes. Posed for photos outside my grandparents house and then held my mothers hand to the school. Then at school the children made fun of me for my new dress, I cried all the way home and never wore dresses again to school.

Oh, kindergarten.

That's a keeper, man. Don't we ALL remember that feeling? I'm 37 and I STILL feel that way sometimes. :)
