Last Sunday, I did some portraits of my girlfriend's sister, Heather. All these were shot in Johnson, AR using simply one speedlight held off to the side by Ashley. Ashley was a GREAT assistant being my mobile light stand and model director.
i like the third one best. too much Hand of God in the fourth one, IMHO. don't mind it around the edges to draw attention to the center. it just looks odd to me.
Actually not "Hand of God." It's just the effect the speedlight created and I underexposed the hell outta the ambient -- almost popped a spotlight effect.
